Stress Is a Signal, Not a Character Flaw
The reframe
Stress is your system reporting a mismatch between demands and resources. That's data. The useful question isn't "how do I feel less stressed" — it's "which side of the equation can I move this week?"
Move the demand side
Audit one week honestly. One recurring commitment usually costs far more than it returns. Renegotiate it, shrink it, or drop it.
Move the resource side
- Movement you enjoy (not punish yourself with) is a resource
- Time outdoors is a resource
- People are the biggest resource — community events exist for exactly this
Know the limits of lifestyle
If stress is affecting sleep, appetite, or daily functioning for weeks at a time, that's the point to bring in a professional. Lifestyle tools are the floor, not the ceiling, of support.
